marARThon – a free dialogue on paper

mararthon is an ongoing art project that stands for spontaneity, encounter,and the courage

the creative moment, add.

the name is program: an artistic action, a course through the ideas, shapes and emotions – without a goal,

but with full commitment.

if, at the marathon distance impressed, then it is the resulting diversity.

you could say: it is not a question of quality in the classical sense, but to the quantity,

however, in the context of freedom, spontaneity, and pure pleasure.

Phrases such as "to what can be a drawing?" or "each page is sometime full.," the face of our common spirit.

the name was at the time, but not yet present.

from our common desire for the immediate expression, we meet ourselves time and again in different places,

in cafes, outside in the city.

what matters is the moment, the interaction, the openness.

one of these moments occurred in the summer of 2025 in schwamendingen, is protected under the roof of a pavilion on the so-called lid.

while the rain had turned on a sheet full of color was the Queen of the swarm.

in an instant, a very special litter, borne by obsession, joy of the game and the happiness of the moment was.

in this atmosphere, the word mararthon was born.

how does the mararthon:

we are working on a 30 × 30 cm large leaves, mostly mixed media on paper.

this square format has emerged almost by itself, is compact, balanced, perfect.

one of us begins with a drawing, then it will be replaced.

the others, modified, supplemented, until a new result.

each leaf has its own story, shaped by freedom, chance and mutual trust.

similar figures and forms, but always in flux. no work is like the other,

and yet, they are United by a common power: the unbridled pleasure of the creating.

sometimes we are being watched, sometimes ignored, sometimes friendly addressed or asked to move on.

but always, the essence remains the same: respect for the place of openness in the do joy in the exchange.

mararthon is not a competition, but rather an attitude.

a project that grows, changes, and more – image to image, the meeting runs to encounter.
